Art shows return to Hairetics Salon! Your favorite local hairwitches are celebrating Imbolc with three artists working in dark and light. The opening reception is February 21, 7-9 pm, at Hairetics Salon, 219 7th Street, San Francisco. Art will be available for sale and some extra merch from the artists will be available only at the opening reception.

Mad Maser, is Brooklyn artist, originally from Okoboji, Iowa. Through her art she explores consciousness and subconsciousness, and how these secret human powers create form and reality. Her practice includes meditative art, psychic portraiture, and performative creations that allow the body to express itself directly on paper. At Hairetics you will see a selection of prints from her Shadow Work collection.

Ruben Briseno Reveles is a digital and tactile artist who explores the metaphysical frequency of the world by reducing it to its most essential form. Through a unique process of stripping away color, the artist transforms complex imagery into high-contrast black and white, revealing the underlying vibrations and energy of the subject matter—whether it be the ancient silence of a Buddha, the organic reach of a lone tree, or the cultural power of indigenous ceremony.

Kodandi Nithyananda is an Oakland artist and the curator of this show. In their work they bridge their internal meditative world with contemporary craft and digital art. At Hairetics you will see a selection of their hand and machine knit pieces framed with contrasting fabric and textures.
